SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Delegates who would like to present their work as a Poster, Lightning Talk or Oral presentation are invited to submit an abstract for consideration by the Scientific Committee.

Please refer to the instructions here below so as to ensure a smooth and successful abstract submission.

The corresponding topic must be selected (see list below) to ensure correct scoring of the abstract. The content of the abstract must be topic related. The papers will be peer-reviewed and those that are accepted will be selected for Oral, Poster or Lightning Talk presentation. A paper should not be submitted to Cytokines 2026 if the full paper has been already published.

For standardization, the acceptable length of the abstract is of maximum 300 words. This does not includes the author details, abstract title and non-visible characters, such as spaces and line breaks

ICIS STUDENT/POSTDOC MEMBER TRAVEL AWARDS & ICIS-PFIZER TRAINEE AWARDS

ICIS Student/Postdoc members submitting abstracts may apply for a limited number of travel awards at the time of submission. These awards are provided through generous grants from Industry Sponsors as well as ICIS member donors and are based on the scientific merit of the abstract as well as need based. Application process: 
• The application is submitted through this questionnaire. 
• Deadline to submit is the same as the Abstract submission deadline.
• ICIS membership must be current to be eligible for a Travel Award.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

GENERAL

Abstracts can only be submitted online via the official online abstract submission form which will be available here for submissions from February 2026 through 31 May 2026.

Abstracts sent by post or email will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made.

The internet abstract submission system works best with Internet Explorer: 8.0 or higher, Firefox: 5.0 or higher, Chrome: 16 or higher. Cookies and JavaScript need to be enabled

AFTER THE SUBMISSION
The reviewers will judge the abstracts according to scientific or clinical value, relevance to Cytokines 2026, conclusions confirmed by objective results, objectivity of statements, originality of work and overall impression. The submitting authors will be notified by mid-June 2026 at the email address provided during submission whether their abstract has been accepted. If you need to withdraw your abstract a written statement, reflecting the reasons of this decision must be sent to [email protected] no later than 31 July 2026.

Late Breaking Abstract submitters will be contacted seperately.

PUBLICATION
Accepted abstracts will be available on the Cytokines 2026 mobile app one week before the start of the meeting.
